CONSULTANCY PROGRAMME

IFFDC has gained experience in the field of Farm Forestry Development, Agriculture Development, Community Mobilisation, Institution Development, Monitoring and Impact Assessment. Professional skills of its staff members have been recognised by other institutions, Government and other agencies. The IFFDC is implementing some projects in association with the other agencies as a service provider for specific tasks or jobs. In some projects, it has been assigned a part of the work or specific component of the whole project for implementation.  Such projects are included under the head of Consultancy Project.

State Integrated Cooperative Development Project (Nainital & Almora Districts of  Uttarakhand State- Potato seed Production

IFFDC is implementing “State Integrated Cooperative Development Project” in Uttarakhand funded by Directorate of Cooperative, Govt. of Uttarakhand through Multi Purpose Primary agricultural Cooperative Society at Paharpani of District Nainital and Multi Purpose Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society at Motiyapathar of District Almora. The project duration is for three year from October 2020 to March 2023

  • 07 Village Meetingswith 225 Farmers have been organized in project villages of Almora & Nainital Districts.
  •  Identiciation of targeted Clusters & Base line Survey work are in progress in project villages. So far, 128 farmers have been selected for Potato seed production.
  • Demonstration on Potato seed production (Kufari Jyoti) has been done in 6   Nali (0.3 Acre) area of 2 farmer’s field.
  • 07 Seed Producer Groups with 78 members have been formed against the target of 10. The work is in progress.

         Other

  • Smt. Rajpati Singh Director, IFFDC was honoured with “Nari Shakti -2021 Award” by Rotary club Raebareli (U.P.) on the occasion of International Women Day.
  • IFFDC signed an agreement with United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) with facilitation of ICA-AP for Pilot Testing of Sustainable Development Performance Indicators in its projects i.e. Social Forestry, Watershed Development and Wadi (Orchard) Development.
  • Mr. S.P. Singh, MD, IFFDC made a presentation on “IFFDC’s role in sustaining the environmental gains in a post-COVID era” in an International webinar alongwith eminent speakers from Thailand, Philippines and India which organized by International Cooperative Alliance –Asia Pacific on 8th July, 2020.
  • Mr. S.P. Singh, MD, IFFDC delivered lectures on 1) “Integrated Rural Development & Women Empowerment and 2) Livelihood Generation & Women Empowerment for reducing Migration in Hilly areas” to the participants from Asia & Africa during 1st online ICA-Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries (MAFF), JAPAN training on “Empowerment of Rural Women” in Asia & Africa 2020 organized by ICA-AP.
  • As suggested in QRM, the saplings of Sahjan and Burma Neem have been planted in IFFCO Colony, Gurgaon (HR) and 100 Papaya (Red Lady) in IFFCO Unit Phulpur, (U.P.).

On the Foundation Day of IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance Co. Ltd., 20,000 saplings of Neem have been planted in the PFFCS of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.
